Born in 1968 in kerala, southern part of India. As a child I started painting and drawings. Studied fine arts in kerala and Tamilnadu. Worked in several parts of India. Moved to Dubai (United Arab Emirates) in 1996. Worked as an Illustrator in “Daily Al Bayan” one of the leading Arabic daily in UAE. Married “Beena” in 2001. Our son “Athul” born in 2002. Worked as Art director in “Your Health” a bimonthly magazine in Dubai. At present I am living in Dubai working as an Illustrator in ‘Gulf News’. Won SILVER AWARD for News Design/Page in SND (Society of News Design) Contest 28th Edition in 2006 AWARD OF EXCELLENCE for special category Sport Calendar In SND (Society of News Design) contest 28th Edition in 2006. |

As a illustrator, how computer affected your work? I think computer not affected in my work really, computer allow me to do some thing more into my work like colouring and getting some unusual effects. But being an Illustrator I like to work with traditional ways and mediums.

How you see de evolution of press illustration in the Arab world? There are many limitations in Arab World I mean restriction in subjects and other things. |

Do you have a style of illustration? I think I have. Some times I feel like stuck in it.But every artist will have their own style like their own fingerprint |

What you don’t like in your daily work in newspapers? Deadlines. But you can't help it; newspaper has to come out tomorrow.

What will be the future of newspaper for you? I think bright.But with lot of change;if i wish to stay in this field. |
